Orla says "If I wait and let things come to me, the Currents may send me to someone bigger and hungrier, and I’m not ready to join the Deepmother."
Gerlinde answers, "Some day you will understand faith. When you’re as old as I am."

Orla looks sheepish. "Oh...no, not really. There is...a person."
